Movember

Personnel from across the Station are taking part in raising awareness for men's health issues by growing moustaches. Further information on the 'RAF Benson Team', and what Movember is all about, is available on the Movember website. Please feel free to donate to the RAF Benson team!

Station Events

Oxford Motor Club Rally

Oxford Motor Club will be holding a rally on the airfield on Sunday 20th November 2011. Further details of the event can be obtained from the Oxford Motor Club website. Spectators are not permitted. The event will raise funds for charities including the Royal Air Force Association.

Families' Day

RAF Benson holds its annual Families' Day in August. The date for the 2012 event has not yet been set but will be announced as soon as possible. The day is only open to personnel based at RAF Benson and their dependants - no public are permitted to attend.

Team Merlin

Whilst RAF Benson rarely holds events that are open to the public due to security, Team Merlin are the RAF's display team for the Merlin helicopter based at RAF Benson. They attend various air shows and exhibitions to display the Merlin. For more information see their Facebook page.

Reservist Open Evenings

606 (Chiltern) Helicopter Support Squadron (Royal Auxiliary Air Force) also hold Open Evenings which are open to members of the public interested in joining our Reservists. RAF Presentation Team

The RAF Presentation Team are an 'on the road' team and can provide the general public with audio-visual presentations about the RAF. The Presentation Team includes both a Civic Team, which deliver presentations to large public audiences across the UK, and a Student Awareness Team, which deliver presentations to 6th Form and University students across the UK.
