Education at RAF Benson

There are several different options available for education at RAF Benson, including Service personnel and dependants.

Adult Education

Adult education for Service personnel often takes the form of personal development, or can be an integral part of resettlement when personnel are due to leave the Service. There are also education opportunities for dependants, although due to limited resources these are often run by the Local Education Authorities rather than the Station itself. The Adult Education page aims to give basic details on the opportunities available to Service personnel and dependants.

Local Schools

With such a large number of dependants based at RAF Benson, we are aware how important it is to be aware of the education opportunities for children in the local area, particularly if you are due to move to the Station in the near future. The local schools page aims to give basic details for primary and secondary education for children in the local area. Further information on all schools is available from Oxfordshire County Council.

Childcare

We are aware that childcare is an important issue for our personnel and their dependants. The childcare page aims to give basic details on the childcare opportunities available on the Station and in the local area. Please be aware that we do not endorse any of the childcare facilities on offer, they are simply provided to assist personnel and dependants.
