Run by volunteer Committee Members, the Club has two bars, the main John Walker bar and a function room which is used for discos, parties and major functions. The club is available for hire for a variety of events, and has in the past been used for private parties, wedding receptions and christenings amongst other. There is no charge to hire the facility; the only payment required is to cover wages for bar staff, cleaning and disco operator (if required).

There is an outdoor area with garden furniture for the summer months with plenty of space for children to play safely, including a climbing frame to help the kids expend their energy.

Entertainment is provided throughout the year; the Committee are charged with providing a wide and varied programme that should cater for all tastes, but the emphasis is on providing a friendly, child-safe environment at all times. A Kids' Disco is run every Friday night from 7 - 9.30pm, and the large screen in the function room is regularly used to show either major sporting events or, more fun for the kids, top-quality and recent movies at the Sunday afternoon movie matinees.

Opening Hours

The Families' Club has standard weekly opening hours:

Monday (Darts League Only)

Thursday - 7pm to 11pm

Friday - 7pm til 12am

Saturday - 4pm til 10pm

Sunday - 2pm til 6pm

The function room is available for hire for private functions outside these times.

Hiring The Function Room

The function room is available for hire for private functions. It provides a large space suitable for parties, meetings, receptions etc.

No charge is levied for the use of the function room, however, charges are made to cover the cost of staff wages.
