Health Care

The Station Medical and Dental Centre provides all health and dental care for Service personnel on the Station. Additionally, the Station Medical Centre can provide healthcare for dependants of personnel on the Station.

Doctors

Although families are welcome to register with the Station Medical Centre some people choose to register with a surgery away from Station. The nearest Surgery is the Mill Stream Surgery in Benson village, an NHS surgery that caters for all ages.

NHS Dentists

Unfortunately the Station Dental Centre is only available to Service Personnel and unable to accept dependant patients. Therefore, families must register with a dentist in the local area. There are various local dental surgeries, many of which have vacancies for NHS patients and offer high quality dental care. To find out which dentists are currently accepting NHS clients click here.

Hospitals

The nearest hospital with an Accident and Emergency facility is the John Radcliffe Hospital, located in Headington, Oxford. Wallingford Community Hospital, located a few miles from the Station in the local town of Wallingford, also has a minor injury unit on site. Maternity facilities are available on both the John Radcliffe Hospital and, for routine pregnancies, the midwife led unit in the Wallingford Community Hospital. Physiotherapy departments are also available in both.
