NVQ
Communication Technology Practitioners NVQ at Level 2
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) are work-based qualifications that assess the skills and knowledge people need to perform their job role effectively. The qualifications are based on National Occupational Standards (NOS). These standards define what employees, or potential employees, must be able to do and know, how well they must do these things, and the circumstances in which they have to use the skills or carry out the activities.
This qualification is intended for tradesmen/women who work within the communication industry. Students, as part of their Aerial Erector Basic course, work towards achieving over 50% of the evidence required to gain their NVQ. The remaining evidence for the full qualification is gained in the work place, where candidates are assessed by trade competent assessors at their units or place of work.
Below are the trade related units that are achieved within the NVQ:
156 Health and safety in ICT and contact centres.
253 Develop personal and organisational effectiveness.
237 Technical Fault Diagnosis
238 Technical Fault Remedy Selection
239 Testing ICT Systems
241 Working with ICT Hardware and Equipment
The NVQ can easily be achieved within 2 years with the help of our trained assessors. On completion of the NVQ, you will be entitled to apply for a pay rise, this can be between £112 & £140 extra per month depending on the certification date of the qualification.
