What the RAF say:

The RAF knows that a large number of recruits are keen to gain civilian qualifications whilst completing their military training. At the Central Air Traffic Control School our trade apprenticeship gives them the opportunity to do this, initially on the Flight Operations Assistant Course and then in the workplace. All registration fees are paid for and apprentices are supported throughout their 18-month training period both in the school and after they graduate.

What do the apprentices think?

“My trade-related apprenticeship has allowed me to gain civilian qualifications at the same time as doing my RAF training. I have improved my Key Skills and qualified for a pay rise when I completed the apprenticeship, which was great! The staff provided all the guidance and support I needed to complete my apprenticeship.” Triumphant Apprentice
