What the RAF say:
The focus of much of the training is on teamwork and communication, whilst helping apprentices develop into calm, strong individuals who can keep control under extreme pressure. There is continual assessment during the course, from progress examination to practical observations. At the end of training, apprentices enter the environmental testing phase where they incorporate all the previously learnt skills and put them into practice.
What do the apprentices think?
“I’ve learnt so much from doing the apprenticeship. I feel it is all relevant for the job I’m about to do. I was well supported throughout the entire course and I was given any help that I needed by my tutors who made everything seem simple.” Successful graduate.
