From the missiles that keep UK airspace safe to the rocket launchers that take the fight to the enemy, Weapons Technicians work on a variety of different defensive and offensive weapons, as well as the ejector seats that save Pilots’ lives.
They also work in Explosive Storage Areas (ESAs) and Armouries, handling bombs, missiles and servicing small arms and automatic weapons. Some Weapon Techs also volunteer for training in bomb disposal – where a cool head and steady hands are vital.
