A big thank you to all involved in the 8th Jul memorial flight. I was at North Weald with my children to watch the flight depart from the squadron at the end of the proceedings, and one of the pilots came to say hello and gave the children his maps, which now have framed pride of place in their rooms!

I visited RIAT this weekend the Battle of Britain flypast with the massed Spitfires and Hurricanes was something to remember for a lifetime. The Spitfire and Typhoon Syncro pair -fantastic. Congratulations to all who keep these iconic aircraft flying. Thankyou Never Forget the Few.

The moments of anticipation followed by that magic engine noise approaching - not one but two Spitfires appear over the rooftops! Thank you for such a wonderful start to our fete down by the Thames in Caversham. The flight bring such joy to so many people and act as a reminder of those who gave so much. Especially important coming a day after the Battle of Britain Commemoration. Thanks again.

Today I located my late father's Pilot's Flying Log Book. He was a mentioned in Dispatches, Spitfire / Hurricane / Blenheim pilot. I found out that he had recorded in it spending 4h flight time testing Spitfire AB910 between June and October 1945. I was delighted to find that this Spitfire is not only still flying but that you had it recently refurbished and back in service this year.

Many thanks for your fantastic display by the Douglas Dakota on Sunday, 21 June at Keighley Armed Forces Day. To use an old phrase 'she brought the house down'.

The RAF Air Events Team have just confirmed a flypast by two Spitfires at our quite small event in Melchbourne Bedford this July. We would like to thank them for pulling out the "stops" at such short notice and for being thoroughly nice helpful people to talk to and work with. Keep up the good work. Thank you. Melchbourne Feast Day Committee.
