Welcome to University of Birmingham Air Squadron

UBAS Crest OC UBAS

Thank you for taking an interest in the University of Birmingham Air Squadron (UBAS).

Located at RAF Cosford, adjacent to the A41, near Junction 3 of the M54. We are one of the 14 University Air Squadrons around the United Kingdom, whose aims are to provide flying training, adventure training, basic military skills and personal development to selected university students, in an RAF environment, providing a practical link between the RAF and universities and promoting an interest in the RAF as a potential career among the nation's highest calibre undergraduates.

This website acts as an introduction to many of these Squadron activities and also outlines details on eligibility, recruitment and commitment.

If you are interested in joining UBAS, recruiting for the academic year 2011/2012 has now finished - see the How to Join page for more details on how to join in 2012.
