Luftflotte HeadquartersThe headquarters for Luftflotte II was in Brussels and was commanded by Field Marshal Albert Kesselring. The fleet consisted of 13 Jagdgruppen (Fighter Groups), 23 Kampfgruppen (Bomber Groups), 2 Stukagruppen (Dive-bomber Groups), 4 Zerstorergruppen (Heavy-fighter or Destroyer Groups) and a variety of long range patrol, weather and reconnaissance units. It was split into command administrative units as follows:
