There are some jobs for which you need only minimal qualifications, some that you can only join if you have certain specialist skills, and others that require a degree – there’s something for everyone.

What subjects do you need to study?

In some of the job files we ask for specific GCSE, A-level or degree subjects.

Where we do not specify a subject, then you can apply with the appropriate qualifications in any subjects.

What are equivalent qualifications?

In many of the job files we ask for particular qualifications, but also say that we will accept ‘equivalent qualifications’. These are judged on an individual basis when you go on to an Armed Forces Careers Office for assessment.
