The job

As a Dental Technician in the RAF, you will be employed in the construction of all types of dental appliances, mainly acrylic and chrome cobalt dentures, crowns and bridges. You may also restore implants. As your career progresses, there may be the opportunity for you to work in a hospital environment, constructing orthodontic and maxillofacial work. As a member of the Dental Trades, you may be called on to serve in any location where dental services are provided.

Opportunities

As part of their operational role, some Dental Technicians undergo Dental Nurse training to provide chair-side support in field conditions.
