Qualifications you need: 2 GCSEs/SCEs at Grade C/3 minimum or equivalent in English language and maths

Nationality: Citizen of the UK or the Republic of Ireland, or a Commonwealth citizen since birth
The job
RAF Medics provide an essential service to the Defence Secondary Care Agency and the RAF at home and overseas. Highly trained staff engage in clinical and medical administrative work at RAF stations, tri-Service hospitals, medical units and Command Headquarters. You also assist the medical monitoring of aircrew and are on call to work with RAF and civilian emergency response teams.
Opportunities
As your career progresses, we’ll continue to train you in new skills. There are courses which will qualify you to assist on aeromedical evacuation; after gaining clinical experience and following successful selection there is the opportunity for the RAF Medic to undergo training to become a State Registered Paramedic. As you progress in your career, additional training will be provided which will enable you to take overall responsibility for the management of a medical centre as you progress through the non-commissioned ranks.
