The job
The RAF is a great place to start training as a Student Nurse (Adult). The Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service offers a three-year training course within the Faculty of Health and Community Care at Birmingham City University. About half your time is spent on clinical placements, which take place at both NHS and military establishments. Successful graduation will lead to registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, together with the award of a BSc (Honours) in nursing. You’ll then enter productive service as a Registered Nurse (Adult).
