The job

When you join the RAF as a Weapon Systems Operator, you’ll be streamed to become a specialist in Acoustics, Electronic Warfare or Crewman.

As an Electronic Warfare specialist, you’ll use the radar systems on board Nimrod aircraft to monitor friendly and enemy military actions. You could create a picture of the air, sea and ground activity on an operation overseas. Or you could carry out a defensive role on board an airborne early warning platform – keeping watch to warn of attack.
