A new career, in a new place, can be quite a challenge. With a civilian job, you could move to a small office in a town where you don’t know a soul. In the RAF, you move to a base with hundreds of personnel and their families – all sharing the same way of life. Whatever your beliefs or background, you’ll be made welcome. We have a range of advice and support services to help you with everything from settling in, to planning for a foreign posting for you and your family.

You don’t have to live on base as well as work there, but many of us choose to do so. Along with the subsidised food and accommodation, there’s a great social life just there for the taking.
