Worship An important part of Christian ministry is the provision of worship opportunities. RAF Chaplaincy is no exception to this. What is exceptional is the range of worship opportunities we provide. These include:

  • Sunday worship in accordance with your denominational tradition.
  • Graduation Services (part of an officer’s graduation day)
  • Civic Services
  • Occasional Offices
  • Repatriation Services (both in operational theatres overseas and in the UK)

Fresh Expressions

In addition to traditional worship provision, many chaplains are finding Fresh Expressions of worship are better able to meet the spiritual needs of the communities within which they live. Several chaplains are engaged in different initiatives. Meeting people where they are

Worship whilst deployed Whether it is a normal Sunday Service, fresh expression of worship in a community centre, a communion service in a hot tent in an operational theatre or repatriation service – RAF chaplains are engaged in taking the church to the people and this provides a very exciting aspect to our work.
