Personnel Holding Flight
Personnel Holding Flight, or PHF as it is more commonly known, provides personnel, administrative and welfare support to those individuals who have been made medically non effective; and have been assigned to the strength of the flight.
Personnel can be assigned to PHF for a variety of reasons outside of being made non effective. These range from Compassionate Returns to the UK, Consecutive Overseas Tourists and Career Breaks in excess of one year. The flight also administers Deferred Resettlement for the whole of the RAF.
OC PHF and WO PHF also oversee the RAF’s Standing Committee of Adjustment (RAFSCA) which administers the effects of those individuals who sadly die whilst in Service.
