RAF Brampton is located just off the A1, 2 miles from Huntingdon and approx 16 miles north of Cambridge and 20 miles south of Peterborough. RAF Brampton is now home to a number of lodger units including;
• Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre (JARIC)
• Defence Estates
• Regional Headquarters for the Air Cadets.
Brampton has a thriving village community and retains its village green; it has a number of shops including post office and chemist. It also has Brampton Wood, which is the 2nd largest of the few remaining ancient woods in Cambridgeshire.
