Information about RAF Waddington
Welcome to Royal Air Force Waddington, home to RAF Air Command surveillance and reconnaissance assets.
RAF Waddington is located on the edge of Lincoln, situated beside the village of Waddington. The city of Lincoln is a short drive away, with all the main amenities a city offers. Waddington village has regular bus services, connecting to good bus and rail network links throughout the country.
RAF Waddington has 394 Service Families Accommodation (SFA) which are mainly located behind the wire. SFA for Waddington are also allocated at RAF Digby (11 miles), RAF Scampton (12 miles) and RAF Cranwell (15 miles) from Waddington. For allocations please call the Housing Information Centre on 0800 169 6322, the York office covers RAF Waddington.
The Station has a modern gym complex, a swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts, a 9-hole golf course and football pitches. There is an all ranks club, which has a family room and an indoor play area, and Costa Coffee is adjacent to the JR Mess.
The Integrated Welfare Facility (IWF) is the home to the HIVE, Coffee Shop, SSAFA Personal and Family Support Worker, OC Community Support Flight, Service Community Support Officer and the Kidz Club (before and after school care for primary school aged children). Waddington has a C of E Church located on the SFA site. There are various groups that meet on a regular basis including parent and toddlers, a youth club and scouting groups etc.
