A large crowd welcomed the RAF Falcons to the well known Bristol Balloon Fiesta on 09 Aug 09. the Team boarded thier aircraft from RAF Brize Norton for the 30 min flight to the drop zone. The weather was once again beautiful sunshine for this event resulting in the Team performing from 10000 ft. Our commentator Mr Graham Liggins continued to build the exitement amongst the crowd until the Team exited, freefalling at speeds of up to 120 mph. Each Team member deployed thier canopy at 5500 ft working hard to get into the signature 9 man non cantact canopy stack. Once each Team member was in position the stack quickly moved towards the drop zone, landing in quick succession and accurately on the 2 crosses. They received rapturous applause from the watching spectators.
