Edinburugh Armed Forces 2009
Show Report by Sgt Matt Thomas
In the build up to Armed Forces Day on 27th June 09 in locations across the country the RAF Falcons were invited to take part in a press launch for the event which was held at Redford Barracks, Edinburugh on Wednesday 10th June 09. After a long day travelling the Team paraded early to a slightly overcast day in Scotland. We met up with our Puma crew from 33 Sqn, RAF Benson lead by Wg Cdr Luck. After some filming and interviews the Team took off and climbed to an altitude of 3500 ft, the 8 Team members exited the Puma helicopter at 1000 hrs and formed thier trademark non contact canopy stack. The Team landed to rapturous applause from the local school children, media and national celebrity Loraine Kelly. The RAF Falcons are proud to support Armed Forces Day and are displaying in Cardiff on 27th June 09 in support of the day.
