Marham Families Day 2009
Show report by Sgt Martin Peace
A windy overcast day greeted the Team as they prepared to board the Puma helicopter at Brize Norton for the 40 min flight to RAF Marham. As the Team approached the drop zone the clouds disappeared but the winds became stronger and on the call from the Team Coach the RAF Falcons began their display. The Team exited the aircraft from 6000ft and with smokes blasting plummeted towards the earth waiting for the call from the coach to deploy their parachutes at around 3500ft. The Team expertly produced their world famous non contact canopy stack and under the guidance of of FS Toby Goodchild the Team fighting against the wind expertly made thier way into the drop zone. The Team would like to thank 33 Sqn for the use of their aircraft and RAF Marham for inviting us to perform.
