Oulton Park 2009

Oulton Park 2009

Show Report by Sgt Ceri Marshman

The RAF Falcons rose to blistering sunshine on Sunday 31st May. They paraded at their home base, RAF Brize Norton at 0800 hrs. An hour later they were airbourne on route to Oulton Park race circuit aboard the Cessna Caravan light aircraft. After limitations with airspace around Manchester Airport the Falcons were eventually granted access to their preferred altitude of 8000 ft. After an accurate practice run the Falcons exited the aircraft at exactly 1015 hrs in glorious sunshine with smokes blazing. The Team deployed their parachutes at 5000 ft and assembled on the Team Coach, forming their trademark 9 man non contact canopy stack. They landed to rapturous applause in front of fifty thousand spectators inside the confines of the circuit.
