RAF Wyton 2009

Show report by Sgt Martin Peace

The RAF Falcons were delighted to be jumping into the RAF Wyton Families Day. The Team boarded their aircraft at The North London Parachute Centre at Chaterris. We took off in heavy rain and the demonstration was close to being scrubbed but on the authorisation of Flt Lt louise Buxton who was on the ground the Team were given the go ahead to complete the descent. We exited the aircraft at 2500 ft with the wind speed on limits. The Falcons under the guidance FS Toby Goodchild expertly guided themselves into the drop zone. As the Team landed the heavens opened and the crowds understandably ran for cover. Apart from the adverse weather conditions the RAF Falcons would like to thank The North London Parachute Centre for the use of thier aircraft and RAF Marham for inviting us to perform at the families day.
