On the 7 Aug the RAF Falcons boarded the aircraft from thier home base at Brize Norton for the display venue, Fistral beach in Newquay. The days jump platform was the Dornier aircraft piloted by Mike Westwood from Weston on the Green. The aircraft ascended to 8000 ft above the world famous surf event in Newquay, an event the Team were very much looking forward to performing at. On the call from the Team coach the 9 man Team exited the aircraft with white and orange smoke trailing behind falling at speeds of up to 120 mph. Each Team member deployed thier parachutes at 5000 ft and quickly formed the world famous 9 man non contact canopy stack. The Team performed numerous turns before landing with impressive accuracy onto the beach at Fistral Bay recieving generous applause from the spectators who were present.
