RAF Falcons 2008

Shoreham Air Show 09

Show Report by Sgt Ceri Marshman

Sunday 23 aug 09 saw The RAF Falcons complete a demonstration into the Shoreham Air Show. The Team boarded thier aircraft at Bournemouth for the short 30 min flight to Shoreham. After circling the drop zone and completing our dummy run the Team coach gave the order to leave the aircraft and from 10000 ft the Falcons began thier display. Falling towards earth at over 120 mph the Falcons pulled thier parachutes at around 5000 ft and swiftly built the world famous non-contact canopy stack wowing the huge crowd in the process.Under the leadership of  Team coach Toby Goodchild the Falcons landed on the crosses with extreme accuracy much to the delight of the public. The Team would like to thank The Shoreham Air Show for inviting us and the Chinook display crew for the use of thier aircraft.
