Oulton Park 2010
Show Report by Sgt Matt Thomas
Saturday 5th was the start of the British Touring car weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire. The Team scheduled to jump during the lunch period of the day conducted all their pre display preparation at RAF Brize Norton, before boarding the Caravan from Sibson Parachute Centre flown by John O’Conner.
After the 40 minute flight up to Chester the Team climbed to 5,000ft the maximum height the Team could jump from due to proximity Manchester Airport. After a successful dummy run under the control of the Team Coach FS Toby Goodchild the Team exited the Aircraft with their smokes blazing. On the timing of the Coach the Team deployed their parachutes and quickly formed their famous non-contact stack. The 8 man-stack closely followed the three man flag Team which was led by Sgt Tony Brookes. The Team all landed expertly around the crosses to the rapturous applause of the crowds.
