Sgt Jon Parkhurst - Falcon 5

Jon was born in Gainsborough in 1977 and was educated at King Edward VI School in Retford, Nottinghamshire. Jon joined the RAF as a physical Training Instructor in 1999 and has completed tours at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, RAF Benson, Falkland Islands and RAF Halton. After becoming a Parachute Jump Instructor in November 06 he served on Military Training Flight and Brigade Parachute Flight at RAF Brize Norton before being selected for duties as an RAF Falcon in October 2010. Jon is married to Kelly and has two sons, George (5) and Leo (1). Jon enjoys most sports especially football and boxing.

Sgt Gary Nicholson - Falcon 6

Gary was born in Consett, Co.Durham in May 1981 and educated at Blackfyne Comprehensive before joining the Royal Air Force as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in Jul 2000. Once qualified, he completed tours at RAF Uxbridge, RAF St Mawgan, RAF Halton and completed a detachment in the Falkland Islands before starting his Parachute Jumping Instructor (PJI) training in 2007. As a PJI he spent over 3 years in Military Training Flight (MTF) at RAF Brize Norton before being selected for duties as an RAF Falcon in Oct 2010. Gary enjoys all sports but mainly football where he has represented Command and the RAF U25’s.

Cpl Carl Harris - Falcon 7

Carl was born in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire in Jul 1984, and was educated at Meden School before studying Engineering at West Nott’s College. Carl joined the RAF as a Physical Training Instructor in 2003 and has completed tours at RAF College Cranwell, RAF Marham and the Falklands Island. He was then selected for Parachute Jump Instructor duties in Sept 2008 and initially served on the Military Training Flight, No 1 Parachute Training School before being selected for duties as an RAF Falcon in 2010. He likes to keep himself fit and enjoys most sports. Carl is a keen Manchester United fan.

Cpl Jamie Crew - Safety Equipment Engineer

Jamie was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire in November 1982 and was educated at Quarrydale comprehensive school before joining the RAF in May 2000. Once qualified he completed tours at RAF Waddington and RAF Cottesmore which saw him detach to Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, America and twice to Afghanistan. Jamie was posted to RAF Brize Norton in 2006 and was selected to support the RAF Falcons in 2011. Jamie is married to Naomi. . A keen boxer himself, he is a qualified coach and runs a local club in his spare time, He also enjoys Snowboarding.
