The parachute display team of the RAF Regiment would like to welcome you to our website. The Falling Rocks Parachute Display Team are primarily made up of Serving RAF Regiment officers and gunners but we also welcome Serving and ex-Serving members of the Royal Air Force who enjoy the sport of parachuting and the additional challenge of display parachuting during their off-duty time.

Each parachute display is performed in accordance with the strict rules and regulations of the British Parachute Association (BPA) using civilian aircraft and pilots cleared to drop parachutists. The rules are detailed in Section 13 of the BPA Operations Manual on Display Parachuting. We are also governed by the Royal Air Force Sports Parachute Association (RAFSPA).

Thanks to the foresight of the Commandant General of the RAF Regiment, Air Commodore S Abbott, the team’s aim is to perform safe and professional parachute displays with the objectives of raising the image and reputation of the RAF Regiment and assisting the RAF Regiment Presentation Team in their drive to raise interest in the RAF Regiment as a career (see Careers).

The Falling Rocks jump into large International Airshows and sports stadia in front of thousands of spectators although we also specialize at the smaller displays such as Village Fetes, Station Families Days and private Weddings, provided the minimum safety criteria is in place.
