This covers the Dakota, Horsa and Hamilcar and also includes the Albemarle, an aircraft originally planned to be a bomber but gainfully employed as a glider tug in Operation OVERLORD. Also, Many Stirlings and some Halifaxes were used to drop paratroops over enemy lines during the invasion, but these aircraft can be found in the Bombers listing.
