April 2010 Eurofighter Typhoon Phase 1 and 2 Enhancement upgrades for air-to-surface weapons.
June 2010 Flt Lt Kirsty Moore became the first female pilot to receive the coveted 'red flying suit' with the Red Arrows.
July 2010 A flypast tribute to the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain by the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight over the white cliffs between Dover and Folkestone.
November 2010 Prime Minister David Cameron announced results of the UK's Strategic Defence and Security Review with the cancellation of Nimrod MR4, withdrawal of Harrier and closue of bases amongst others.

March 2011 Operation DEFERENCE, involves the RAF with mission to evacuate British nationals from Libya.
April 2011 Operation ELLAMY, RAF Tornado and Typhoon aircraft conduct airstrikes in support of UN Security Council Resolution 1973 over Libya.
