RAF History Timeline
We are pleased to reintroduce the Royal Air Force Timeline to explain some of our aviation history. This will illustrate the significant part the Service has played in the development of aircraft as we know them today. Over the next few months, and years, the history section will be totally refreshed and we welcome your comments to make this a meaningful channel.
"As we drew nearer I saw a cathedral like a crown on the head of a city. In its white walls every window glinted in the sun. Lincoln! Of such places is England made."
Sergeant Don Charlwood - "No Moon Tonight"
61 Squadron, Lancasters
