Before Training - Documentation Required

The documentation required (if any) for entry into the UK for Royal Air Force Training is detailed below:

MEMBER OF NATO ARMED FORCES:

Valid passport only

Or

NATO Identity card and individual or collective Movement/travel order.

Passport should be endorsed with the Immigration Officer’s plain date-stamp (except holder of an EU passport).

SPOUSE AND CHILDREN OR MEMBER OF NATO ARMED FORCES:

If travelling with spouse/parent: Valid passport only.

If travelling separately: Valid passport and either Letter of Consent endorsed ‘To join Husband/Wife/Father/Mother’ or Letter from the British Defence Attaché.

Passport should be endorsed either:

‘Leave to enter for 6 months. Employment prohibited’

Or

‘Leave to enter the United Kingdom is hereby given for …..../until……….’

MEMBER OF COMMONWEALTH ARMED FORCES:

Valid passport and either Entry certificate endorsed ‘EXEMPT’ or Letter from British Defence Adviser.

Passport should be endorsed with the Immigration Officer’s plain date-stamp.

SPOUSE AND CHILDREN OF MEMBER OF COMMONWEALTH ARMED FORCES:

If travelling with Spouse/Parent: Valid Passport only.

If travelling separately: Valid passport and either Letter of consent endorsed ‘To join Husband/Wife Father/Mother’ or Letter from the British Defence Adviser.

Passport should be endorsed either:

‘Leave to enter for 6 months. Employment prohibited’

Or

‘Leave to enter the United Kingdom is hereby given for……../until……….’

MEMBER OF NON NATO ARMED FORCES FROM A COUNTRY NOT REQUIRING VISA TO ENTER UK:

Valid passport and either valid letter of consent Endorsed ‘Course F’ or Letter from the British Defence Attache.

Passport should be endorsed either:

‘Leave to enter for 6 months. Employment prohibited’

Or

‘Leave to enter the United Kingdom is hereby given for.……./until……….’ No police registration requirement

SPOUSE AND CHILDREN OF NON NATO ARMED FORCES FROM A COUNTRY NOT REQUIRING VISA TO ENTER UK:

Valid passport and either valid letter of Consent endorsed ‘To join Husband/Wife Father/Mother’ or Letter from British Defence Attache

Passport should be endorsed either:

‘Leave to enter for 6 months. Employment prohibited’

Or

‘Leave to enter the United Kingdom is hereby given for.……./until……….’ No police registration requirement

MEMBER OF NON NATO ARMED FORCES FROM A COUNTRY REQUIRING VISA TO ENTER UK:

Valid passport and valid letter of Consent.

SPOUSE AND CHILDREN OF NON NATO ARMED FORCES FROM A COUNTRY REQUIRING VISA TO ENTER UK:

Valid passport and valid UK Visa endorsed ‘To join Husband/Wife/ Father/Mother.
