RIAT 2009

Eligibility

To be eligible for membership of Liverpool University Air Squadron you must meet the following criteria:

Nationality and Residence

Must be British, British Protected, Commonwealth, Republic of Ireland, or hold Dual Nationality (British/Other). Candidates may also be a British National holding a British Naturalisation Certificate.

Must have resided in the UK for a minimum of five years immediately preceeding application to join the Squadron.

Age

Be at least 17½ years of age. Candidates under 18 years of age will require parental consent.

Those wishing to apply for Royal Air Force Pilot must note that their 26th birthday must fall after Initial Officer Training.

University

Be a full-time registered student studying for a first degree at one of the following universities:

Bangor University
University of Chester
University of Cumbria
Edge Hill University
Glyndwr University
Lancaster University
University of Central Lancashire
University of Liverpool
Liverpool John Moores University
Liverpool Hope University

All candidates are to have at least three academic terms remaining in which to complete an approved course of study from the date of entry to the Squadron.

Bursaries

Those who hold a Royal Air Force Bursary are required to become a member of the University affiliated University Air Squadron.
