MASUAS has to be the best social organisation at university. The new experiences on offer bring people together in a way that is unique to military organisations. MASUAS has an especially good espirit de corps which is built by many nights out to our favourite bars in Manchester.

It is not, however, just nights out in Manchester which bring the squadron together; there are many formal functions too. The Christmas and Summer balls allow squadron members to experience the best of RAF events, with the whole base coming together for an extravagant party.

On the more formal side, there is the Squadron Annual Dinner which is a sit down, four course meal with all the interesting and fun traditions the RAF has to offer. In addition, there is the Ladies Guest Night which gives Officer Cadets the opportunity to organise a formal function themselves. It also allows close friends to come along and experience a mess function with their respective Officer Cadets.

These social events all feed into the squadron spirit. Combined with military training and structure, it creates a close knit group which is second to none in terms of other university organisations.
