More members make The Forces Pension Society more effective. And you can help them by arranging a Unit Brief.

The pension needs of serving and retired members of the Forces and their families are as great today as they ever were in the 60 year history of FPS.

And the efforts The Forces Pension Society make in campaigning against inequities and for improving pension rights need to be re-doubled against today’s economic pressures.

As a not-for-profit organisation, The Forces Pension Society funding comes primarily from Members’ subscriptions. It follows that, as they strive to achieve more for their Members, they must continue to increase their membership base.

You can help them in two ways – by introducing potential new members to them and by using your contacts to help us arrange unit briefings. In 2008 they introduced a new resource enabling them to deliver group briefings nationwide (and overseas). These events last for approximately 45 minutes and describe their work and its value to serving and retired members of the Armed Forces and their dependants. The feedback they receive is very positive and they regularly hear that the brief should be given to all ranks as well as their dependants.

They are giving over 130 briefs across all three Services in the UK and overseas during 2011 and are constantly adding more. They would like to hear from you with any suggestions for creating new presentation opportunities.
