Welcome to the RAF Presentation Team
Foreword by the Chief of the Air Staff
As the Chief of the Air Staff I am acutely aware that our strong reputation as the World’s oldest independent air force is based on our highly effective operational performance and the reputation that we have for the professional approach that we demonstrate in all that we do. A significant element of demonstrating that operational airpower capability is to engage with the widest range of audiences to show them a cross-section of who we are, what we do and what aircraft we use to deliver the UK’s military airpower. To do this successfully requires effective engagement – both nationally and internationally – and so the audiences with whom we are seeking to engage are many and varied, but the most important is you, the British public.
The RAF Presentation Team – now in its’ 31st year traveling the UK – is a vital part of our strategy to engage effectively with you. The Team’s role is to show you how the Royal Air Force lives up to its enviable reputation around the World and how we lead and deliver Air Power. Moreover, in demonstrating our wide ranging and impressive capabilities we also aim to show that we offer a wide range of stimulating careers and are an organisation that rewards its people, recognises quality, and is inclusive and welcoming as an employer.
At their presentations you will have the opportunity to meet and talk to the Team and other RAF personnel. It is their performance that underpins our reputation and they appreciate the opportunity to tell you more about our Service. By attending their functions, I am sure that you will recognise the professionalism, commitment and integrity of our Airmen and women.
The Presentation Team’s task is simple – it is to help others understand who we are, what we do, how we do it, and the success that we achieve. I hope that after hearing their presentation you will agree that they have succeeded.
I and they would welcome any feedback or comments that you have on what you see and hear or on what you think of Your Royal Air Force!
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton
