Senior Aircraftman Dave Morris

SAC Morris

Dave joined the Royal Air Force direct from school aged 16 years old. Following basic training at RAF Halton he trained for 9 months as a Telecommunications Operator at the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering, RAF Cosford. Dave’s first posting was to No2 Field Squadron Tactical Communications Wing (TCW) then based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. TCW is a tactical deployment unit that is responsible for installing and delivering vital communications anywhere in the world and often at very short notice. Whilst serving on TCW Dave deployed on numerous overseas detachments including several tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2007 he returned to RAF Cosford to complete a 6 week assimilation course that gave him the specialist skills to convert from operator to technician. In February 2009 Dave was posted to Episkopi Garrison Cyprus to work alongside his RN & Army colleagues as a Support Technician.

Away from work Dave is kept very busy helping his wife Francesca with two young children! For relaxation he enjoys keeping fit, mountain biking and is a self- confessed gadget geek. He is encouraged by the rest of the team to support Tottenham Hotspur!! Tutor Gimp
