JHC FS Aldergrove Night Flying - Message from the Station Commander

JHC FS Aldergrove is totally focused on supporting military operations. When OP Banner lifted the Puma helicopters from 230 Sqn were detached to support operations. At any one time, around 250 personnel from the base are away supporting these operations.

Members of the public will appreciate how hard our young airmen and women are working. They will also understand that regular work in dangerous conditions puts a particular strain on the person that is deployed and their loved ones at home. I am immensely proud of the spirit and dedication shown by the personnel at JHC FS Aldergrove, and the great fortitude of their families. I am also immensely encouraged by the support shown to them by our local community - thank you.

Station Commander

Night Flying: JHC FS Aldergrove seeks to limit the use of night flying only to when that training is absolutely necessary for our operations and if possible, geographically spread the risk of disturbance. Additionally, we always adhere to the prescribed UK Night Flying System regulations.
