Station Facilities at JHCFS Aldergrove
Here at JHCFS Aldergrove we are proud to have a wide range of facilities for use by everyone on the station - there is a Spar shop and Post Office, Swimming pool, Hairdressers, Education Centre, Gift & Coffee shop, Cinema, Creche - Playschool & Youth Club, Skate park, Community Centre, excellent Gym facilities plus much more.........
The Spar shop and Post Office
The SPAR is located directly opposite the B site main gate. It offers a great range of fresh foods, wine, beer, household products and store-cupboard essentials, hot food to go and plus National Lottery available to. Located in the same building is a Post Office which offers all the expected postal services and just outside there is a cash point and adjacent carpark for added conveinience.
Spar Opening Times:- Mon – Fri 07:30 – 22:00hrs Sat & Sun 09:00 – 22:00hrs
Post Office Opening Times:- Mon – Fri 09:00 – 13:00 hrs then 14:00 – 17:00 hrs
Sat - 09:00 – 12:00 hrs Sun - closed
The Station Coffee and Gift Shop
Coffee Shop
The Coffee Shop is situated on A site behind the SPAR shop. It offers a good selection of food and drink for breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. All items on the menu are also available to take-away.
Opening times:- 09:00 – 14:00hrs
Breakfast time:- 09:30 – 12:00hrs
Lunch menu:- 12:00 – 14:00hrs
Gift Shop - Inspirations
Inspirations is located in the SPAR car park. It offers a wide range of products and services to camp personnel. These include; picture framing, Tyrone crystal, perfumes, aftershaves, ornaments, plaques, mugs, gifts for the whole family, hand made cards and gift wrapping.
Opening Times:- Mon – Fri 10:00 – 16:00hrs (Wed 11:00-14:00hrs)
Community and Support Facilities
The Station has a comprehensive range of facilities. If you have a view on how the Station could improve or increase the facilities available to personnel and their families please contact the Community development worker.
Education Centre
The Education Centre can be found beside the main SPAR car park and is conveniently situated beside the Library. The aim is to promote and encourage the participation and commitment of all Service personnel, dependants and MOD Civil Servants to lifelong learning by providing a non-threatening, supportive environment. Courses available can include: Intensive IGCSE, Short University Courses, Defence Writing, Bar Training and many more.
Opening Times:- Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 16:30 (Closed 12:30 – 13:00hrs for lunch)
Fri - 08:00 – 12:30hrs
Cinema
The Station cinema is located on B site. It shows a variety of films on a regular basis. Showing times and prices can be found at the link below.
