Interservices Competition
Inter Service Matches have been held since 1946 and are regular annual fixtures that pitch the RAF, Royal Navy and Army against one another. The RAF Athletics Association fields teams in Track and Field, Cross Country, Road and Tug of War. There is a lot of pride at stake in these competitions as well as the trophy the winners get to retain for a year. The venues used for the competitions are rotated between the different Armed Forces, so courses and conditions can vary greatly. They cover everything from the mud of RAF Halton to the rolling hills of HMS Raleigh. It is at these matches that RAF Athletes earn their RAF Representative Colours and are issued with their own [link not available].
