Only available to individuals eligible to compete for the RAF Athletics Association

The RAF Sports Board can offer grants for sporting activities undertaken by RAF Personnel and can also offer funding in the form of bursaries for outstanding RAF sportsmen and women in the pursuit of excellence. Three sources of funding are available:

BAE Systems Grants

For personnel competing at International standard.

Development Sports Fund

To assist in the promotion and development of personnel and activities in sport at grassroots level and in the development stages towards Service representation.

RAF Sports Lottery

For all members of the RAF Sports Lottery to apply for assistance with equipment and training costs.

Applications for funding have to be made by the individual athlete through their respective Team Managers to be endorsed by the RAF Athletics Association. Specific Association guidelines and the required standards can be found within Airspace.

Note to all athletes and potential applicants:-

The RAF Athletics Association receives significant funding and support from the RAF Sports Board in the pursuit of its sport. It is therefore incumbent upon individuals to be cognisant of this fact and to consider the number of RAF Sports Lottery Tickets that they hold. Tickets can be obtained by completing the application form on the Sports Board Website.
