MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the RAFBBA is to promote, manage and be accountable for the development of the game within the RAF for the benefit of all participants and to maintain its true spirit.
The objectives of the RAFBBA are:
To encourage, promote and manage basketball within the Royal Air Force (RAF) for the enjoyment and satisfaction of the participants in playing the game.
To provide the appropriate administration as a Constituent Body of England Basketball (EB)
The RAF Basketballl 5-Year Plan
Royal Air Force Basketball Association (RAFBBA) Constitution Composition
The name of the Association shall be “The Royal Air Force Basketball Association” (RAFBBA). It shall be affiliated to EB and shall be subjet to all the Laws, Bye Laws, Rules and mandates thereof, exceot where (with the agreement of EB) specific exception has been made.
RAFBBA Executive Committee
The control and organisation of Basketball within the RAF shall be in the hands of an Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall deal with all business, which does not warrant the assembling of a General Meeting and will consist of the following posts:
a. President (elected by the RAF Sports Board).
b. Chairman (elected by the RAF Sports Board).
c. Honorary General Secretary.
d. Honorary Treasurer.
e. Honorary Official’s Secretary.
f. Honorary Competitions Secretary.
g. Honorary Fixtures Secretary.
h. Corporate Communications Officer.
In addition the following posts are invited to attend all RAFBBA Executive Committee Meetings:
a. Senior Team Coach.
b. RAF Senior Team Manager.
c. RAF Junior Team Manager.
d. RAF Ladies Team Manager.
e. RAF Senior Team Captain.
f. RAF Recruiting Representative.
The Executive Committee shall manage the affairs of the Association and shall have full power and authority over the use, disposition and investment of all funds and shall execute all powers and functions not exclusively conferred upon general meetings or specified in the constitution. However, no member of the Executive Committee shall have powers to commit the RAFBBA to future, or potential, unbudgeted expenditure beyond a limit of £500. Commitment of unbudgeted expenditure beyond £1000 must have prior agreement of the Executive Committee.
