The Station Commander

Group Captain Jonathan Burr

Group Captain Burr takes on the role of Station Commander and Force Commander at RAF Benson as of the 1st of December 2008.

An experienced helicopter pilot, Group Captain Burr comes to RAF Benson from the Ministry of Defence, having previously served in many operational theatres including Iraq and Afghanistan. He has had an illustrious career so far, being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) in 1999 for operations in Kosovo and the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2007 New Year’s Honours List.
