The work of the ASACS Force Command Operations Staff is broken down into 3 areas as follows:

Backbone Air Command and Control Systems (BACCS)

Responsible for the operational availability of all static ASACS equipment excluding the radars themselves.

Deployable Air Command and Control Systems (DACCS)

Responsible for the operational availability of all deployable ASACS equipment, in particular No1ACC, as well as all Air Defence Radars and the provision of National Air Traffic Services radar data.

ASACS Ops

Responsible for the operational output and tasking of ASACS units, with particular emphasis on all aspects of Quick Reaction Alert activity, for all airspace issues, and ASACS Exercise planning.
