ASACS Role Office

The ASACS Role Office staffs, ASACS Force Command (AFC) C4I Spt, provide support and specialist assistance for all current fixed and mobile ASACS units. They act as the focal point for all C4I related activity within the Force Command. Associated roles and responsibilities encompass T92, T93 and T101 Radars, located in the UK, the Falklands Islands and deployed sites with No. 1 Air Control Centre; the T102 radar, currently being procured through British Aerospace; the UK Command & Control System and various CIS and Tactical Data Link Systems providing voice and data communications between sensors and user; The Tactical Air Control Centre operated by 1ACC; the RAF Spadeadam Electronic Warfare Tactics Range. Other responsibilities include the planning and co-ordination of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of ASACS assets; external Quality Audits of the ASACS sites and the Multi Activity Contracts across the ASACS units and RAF Spadeadam.
