The mission of RAF Boulmer Support Wing is to provide timely administrative and specialist services in support of units and personnel at, or parented by, RAF Boulmer.

Support Wing replaced the previous Administration Squadron at RAF Boulmer in November 2004 following a 35% increase in manpower associated with the re-activation of the NATO Control and Reporting Centre.

The Wing has approximately 200 personnel made up of service personnel, MOD civilians both industrial and non-industrial, Military Guard Service personnel and Military Provost Guard Service personnel. The majority of Support Wing personnel work from the Domestic Site in the Station Headquarters which houses the Personnel Management, Resource Management, Force Development and Management Support Squadrons, as well as the Station Medical & Dental Centre.

The village of Longhoughton, which is situated approximately 1 mile from the Domestic Site, is a mix of civilian and service houses and is home to the HIVE, the Coffee Shop and the Community Learning Centre. The remaining Support Wing personnel operate from the Operations Site in the station.
