Adult Learning

Within RAF Boulmer and the local area there are many opportunities for adult education, for both Service personnel, their families and members of the local community;

The Community Learning Centre (CLC) is located in Portal Court, Longhoughton. The CLC maintains close links with local education providers and is a venue for various courses, as well as housing the library which incorporates an I.T suite, offering free internet access.

The Local Education Authority (LEA) can also provide advice on;

· Courses available in the local area.

· Colleges/Schools that offer Adult Courses.

· NVQ courses. Particularly important to serving personnel as they provide a means of converting military qualifications to civilian recognised equivalents
